MOMRP

The mission of the Military Operational Medicine Research Program (MOMRP) is to develop effective biomedical countermeasures against operational stressors and to prevent physical and psychological injuries during training and operations in order to maximize the health, readiness and performance of Service members and their Families, in support of the Army Human Performance Optimization and Enhancement (HPOE), Human Dimension (HD), Multi-Domain Battle (MDB), Army Big 6 Modernization Priorities, and the DoD Total Force Fitness (TFF) concepts. Its continuing mission is to protect the whole Service member -- head-to-toe, inside and out, across the operational spectrum. Science to Service member is our focus.

MOMRP supports cutting-edge biomedical research to develop and deliver military lifecycle products, capabilities and solutions addressing health and fitness to the Service Member in a relevant, timely manner. MOMRP research is focused on four research portfolios: 1) Environmental Health and Protection, 2) Injury Prevention and Reduction, 3) Physiological Health and Performance and 4) Psychological Health PTSD and Resilience.

Director's Corner

Our primary role in the Military Operational Medicine Research Program is to support Readiness of the Force. MOMRP knowledge and materiel products are developed to ensure operational forces are resilient and resistant to operational stressors that span the physical, physiological, and psychological. Movement does not break machines, friction does.
